things i'm grateful for: road trip! (toscana)

we were already spaced out on this day.so we decided to take it easy and just stay put.

mr t and baby went swimming in the pool while i caught up with my books and magazines.i wished i had these with me to read!

One Day (Movie Tie-in Edition) (Vintage Contemporaries)Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange

later in the afternoon we decided to go to vinci, the birthplace of yes, leonardo da vinci.

the drive alone was worthy of the trip.we were zigzagging on tiny roads, passing by bike enthusiasts and amazing landscape, of course.

we went to museo leonardiano.well, outside of it.i think it was closed anyway.you know me and mr t.we're not that keen on musuems, except the note-worthy ones like the louvre, the acropolis museum, the ones in florence or the modern ones like the pompidou or moma (haller, pretentious, much?)

we just let baby ran around and inhale the air coming in from the tuscan hills.

nearby is the church of santa croce, where according to legend, leonardo was baptized.

vinci seems like an aloof, beautiful lady clouded in mystery.

overall it was a very relaxed day.we needed it as the next day would be a grand day!

florence...next!
