oh, how i loved that zoo.come to think of it, i was more excited than baby.it was her first time to be in a zoo of this proportion.
i've been to a similar zoo concept in singapore, but the one in munich is bigger.
i'm not a big fan of zoos as the one that we had in the philippines did not really offer anything for the children (as far as i can remember!) the animals were treated poorly and it was always crowded.i'm really hoping that this has already changed.
anyway, back to the munich zoo.

the animal preserves are arranged geographically.baby and i were fascinated with these penguins that can stay under the heat of the sun.
baby's favorite is the kids part of the zoo where you can pet ponies and horses.
we had another bavarian staple for lunch.
we then went back to oma and opa's house to drop off baby as we were off to
a beer garden to meet up with friends!
two members of the boracay gang - the german chapter were present! t, mr t's bestman for our wedding and b, the funniest german i've ever met.
oh we had such a blast just catching up and listening to b's antics.another adorable baby was also there.baby would have loved him.
sadly, this is what we're missing in dubai - a group of friends who will be there for us through thick and thin (and don't worry, we will be there for you as well, in snow, rain and sun - just holler!)we have to travel to germany and the philippines just to see them and be in touch.
sigh.
this was also the last day of our summer trip when the weather was great.the next three days were downcast and rainy.
next --- tollwood and the bavarian film studio!
