things i'm grateful for: road trip! (munich)

we left the house with opa with the sun shining, and we arrived in tollwood with rain pelting us like there's no tomorrow.

we ran to the nearest tent with a band playing jazz music.there were lots of people, and of course, baby was fascinated with her surroundings.

she was wearing her pink dirndl (a traditional bavarian costume).too bad she could not really show it off as we had to cover her up.

when the skies cleared, we walked around tollwood.it's an alternative cultural festival where people showcase their crafts, music, food, clothes, you get the drift.

we could not really do a lot of walking as the place was wet.

there was a kids play area, but it was just about to close! baby was able to play for a few minutes, though.

we went home kinda sad.it would have been a lovely outing had the weather cooperated.hmph!

but.

the next day was more productive.

we spent almost half of the day touring the bavarian film studio.i was quite excited about this one as this was where they filmed "the neverending story!"

remember them? rock biter and the racing snail! hahaha.

we took a tour around -

my favorites were "das boot"

and the beloved falkor, of course!

children sitting on falkor while watching themselves "flying" on the blue screen with "the neverending story" playing in the background.

memories!

wickie was there as well!

asterix and obelix! we bought obelix for baby, and fyi, baby can say his name properly.

we then drove to the "wilder" side of the english garden where we met with s, mr t's friend.

but we met a lot of sheep first.

next --- our last day in munich!waahhh.
