day 19 - a song from your favorite album

"hand in my pocket" (alanis morissette)
(jagged little pill album)

it basically the album of my life.funnily enough, i don't own this album.mr t and i both like alanis (and i guess anybody else who grew up in the 90s).i think he even got to watch alanis in a concert when she was not that popular yet.it's still my dream to watch her, though.is she still giving concerts?

lyrics:

I'm broke but I'm happy
I'm poor but I'm kind
I'm short but I'm healthy, yeah
I'm high but I'm grounded
I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost but I'm hopeful baby

What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be fine fine fine
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five

I feel drunk but I'm sober
I'm young and I'm underpaid
I'm tired but I'm working, yeah
I care but I'm worthless
I'm here but I'm really gone
I'm wrong and I'm sorry baby

What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be quite alright
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is flicking a cigarette

What it all comes down to
Is that I haven't got it all figured out just yet
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving the peace sign

I'm free but I'm focused
I'm green but I'm wise
I'm shy but I'm friendly baby
I'm sad but I'm laughing
I'm brave but I'm chicken shit
I'm sick but I'm pretty baby

And what it all boils down to
Is that no one's really got it figured out just yet
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playing the piano

What it all comes down to my friends
Is that everything's just fine fine fine
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is hailing a taxicab...

life handed me out lemons, and i'm planning to not just make lemonades out of them, but also to build a lemonade stand! ha!

here in the uae, mother's day is celebrated in march, following the british tradition.so i had my flowers from mr t last march :-) my first year as a mom.wow.

mr t and i went on a desert safari trip (which i won, by the way) last saturday night.it was my first time to go on an organized desert safari.mr t had done it before in doha.i once went on a trip with other filipinos who own 4 x 4's and hummers.but it was just dune-bashing,this time, we had a lot of activities.

we thoroughly enjoyed it.we did not get to watch the belly-dancing though cos we had to leave early to feed baby.

a desert safari trip usually lasts for 5 hours and consists of:

- Drive through the desert - Dune Bashing
- Camel Rides
- Belly Dancing
- Henna Painting (i had my hand done)
- Hubbllee Bubblee (shisha)
- Arabic Coffee (gahwa) and Fresh Dates
- Buffet Dinner
- Sand skiing (mr t tried it!)

photos!
