things i'm grateful for: road trip! (bavaria)

we will embark on yet another road trip around germany and some parts of europe in two weeks time.that makes me reminisce about our first ever road trip in germany and denmark which was almost two years ago!

as soon as we arrived in munich, we headed out to one of the beer gardens and made "lamon" (filipino slang for "ate")

bavarian food, from top to bottom: potatoes, bread with spices and sausage salad

and walked around in the middle of the night

this was the view from mr t's flat, which sadly, he gave up already.i really liked that flat.the sun shines through the curtains and you can just get a clear view of the skies.

we went to the english gardens to soak up more sun

and get some gelato italiano

we went to a spa town called tegernsee.

i fell in love with its houses

with its abbey that looks so simple from the outside.

but is magnificent inside.it was founded by benedectine monks and later on, became the summer residence of one of the bavarian royal families.

and with the lake - the lake was spectacular, surrounded by majestic mountains. the waters sparkled and winked at us.we sat down on the banks and just gazed and gazed and ate ice cream on the side.haha.

there was an event of some sort and there were people walking about in their bavarian finery.

i remember getting so excited with this particular trip as it was my first time to go around germany, and not just around munich.i remember getting so awed (again and again) with the picturesque sceneries all over the country.

next...nuernberg
