things i'm grateful for: road trip! (starnberg-austria-switzerland)

finally, it was the day to start our road trip from munich all the way to tuscany in italy!

but first, we met up with good couples friends c and j, m and i, in starnberg, an upmarket town near munich.

we went to this lovely restaurant for a breakfast buffet.

interesting chandelier.

it was baby's first time in starnberg and she was delighted with all these flocks of birds.i think her favorite was the swan.

we crossed the border and reached austria.we hoped that baby would love to run across the meadows, but she did not like it, unfortunately.she just stood in the middle of the tall grasses, wondering what they were.haha.

gorgeous scenery!

we did not linger as we still wanted to go to st moritz!

on the road to switzerland.

being greeted by this quaint church in st moritz!

st moritz offers a "champagne climate" - temperate and sunny in summer and cool and dry in winter, making it one of the best spots for both winter and summer sports.

i wonder how it looks like during winter? fabulous, i guess!

lake st moritz - beautiful!

baby petted her first horse as there was a stable nearby a lake.so kyot!

we just took a stroll, just getting lost.

we found a playground for baby to get lost in, too.

views from the playground.

walking on via serlas, st moritz's rodeo drive.

bits and pieces of st moritz

oh how i wished we had enough time to just take in the beauty of this place.but we had to move on...

you're so pwettyyyy, st moritz.danke for accommodating us.hope to see you for a longer period of time in the future!

it's so true - the most luxurious thing in the world is intangible.if you have the luxury of time, then you are indeed blessed, my friend.

next...italia!

on a congratulatory note, i would like to greet everyone eid mubarak! today marks the end of ramadan.we were given three days off starting today until thursday. then it's the weekend, so we have five days of just family bonding here in the uae.joy.joy.joy.
