we took a train to munich, but not without stopping at wuerzburg, a baroque old town.we saw an interesting wedding shop with a "bride" casually for waiting her groom, probably.
the wuerzburg residenz was beautiful.it is part of the unesco world heritage list.sadly, we did not get the chance to get inside.
we did manage to walk around its equally magnificent gardens.
the entrance
there were beautiful churches dotting the city.one of these is the neumuenster church.
my favorite sight has to be the the old bridge called the alte mainbruecke. there's a fantastic view of the fortress called the marienberg and vineyards.
a restaurant in this prime location
beautiful baroque statues
on the way back to the train station, we passed by more beautiful churches.
the marienkapelle, a gothic church
a chapel after the bridge
beautiful wuerzburg!
i loved it there.it is actually part of the so-called 360 kilometre romantic road in germany.
next...bavaria!
