"elevation" (u2)
easy peasy.
lyrics:
High, higher than the sun
You shoot me from a gun
I need you to elevate me here
At the corner of your lips
At the orbit of your hips
Eclipse, you elevate my soul
I've lost all self control
Been living like a mole
Now going down, excavation
I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high, elevation
A star lit up like a cigar
Strung out like a guitar
Maybe you could educate my mind
Explain all these controls
I can't sing but I've got soul
The goal is elevation
A mole, living in a hole
Digging up my soul
Going down, excavation
I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high, elevation
Love, lift me out of these blues
Won't you tell me something true
I believe in you
A mole,living in a hole
Digging up my soul
Now going down, excavation
I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high, elevation
Elevation...
Elevation...
Elevation...
Elevation...
Elevation...
Elevation...

mr t and i had a lovely weekend.the kind that i've been missing and craving for since we had baby.
we had a breakfast brunch at cafe o, near our place.baby was sleeping peacefully in her pram, thank god.so we were able to enjoy our brunch.i stuffed myself silly with salmon and fruit salad.
we then trekked to carrefour (a french hypermarket chain) since they had an ongoing promo for baby stuff.we were supposed to go grocery shopping, but we did not have space anymore cos our trolley was filled with all these baby toys and clothes! hypermarket na kung hypermaket.haha. i always get googly-eyed everytime i see baby toys!i want to hoard them all!haha.i did not have a lot of toys when i was a child.wah!! i only had these clay pots and plastic plates.bitter, ba.
and another baby milestone! we were over in a shop at mall of the emirates.mr t was taking care of baby while i was trying on some clothes.we were worried that baby will get hungry soon as it was almost feeding time.not really! house music was playing so loudly, and baby was kicking around happily.dios mi, i thought she would prefer classical or soft music, but no, baby loves techno.haha.
later at night we went to peanut butter jam and stayed for about an hour. it's a jamming session at the wafi mall rooftop gardens. there are huge M&M’s beanbags that you can lay on while listening to jazz, r&b, pop.it only happens during the cool months from october-may.
we then headed directly to the cinema to watch "city of life," the first ever UAE's big budget film, directed by an Emirati.we both liked it as the movie lets one peek at the different lives of Dubai residents.plus the characters were speaking in arabic, english, and hindi, with english subtitles if needed.it just shows how diverse dubai is. i don't know if it would be released internationally, though.if so, please watch it!
i love our "weekend date"!
