weekend (s) roundup

mr t and i just got back from a roman holiday, possibly our most stressful trip ever.more about it later while i catch my breath.

in the meantime, some overdue stories...

mr t's close friend f came for an easter visit in dubai together with his adorable family.the kids are so cute!

we became tour guides and went to dubai mall and went up the tallest building in the world, the burj khalifa.

a candy shop in dubai mall! sinful!

the burj - outside

inside the burj

it was our first time to go to the burj khalifa.it was actually good that we had guests otherwise i don't think we would ever go there.i was really amazed with the lift that we took up.it was so fast.it just took seconds to reach the 124th floor!

amazing views from the 124th floor

baby was with us, of course.and kebs lang sya.hahaha.

we then went for dinner at carluccio's (a very family-friendly italian restaurant in dubai mall.i've blogged about it a lot of times) and got lucky with our view as the fountain show was playing for every 30 minutes or so.

the next day we went to sezzam in the mall of the emirates for brunch.it was also our first time there, and we were quite surprised with the variety of food and with the superb view of ski dubai.

everyone had a grand time! j and f are the sweetest kids ever and baby was just happy being around with them.

they all celebrated easter sunday together and had a small egg hunt in our flat.too bad i missed it as i had work! waahh...

'til we meet again! thanks for the lovely company, r family!

**

we all love ourselves some reggae, right? well, guess who came a-visitin' in dubai? none other than ali campbell of the ub40 fame! ayayay. we headed to the irish village faster than you can say red-red-wine.

it was a blast! he sang "kingston town," "can't help falling in love with you," and "red, red wine" as the encore.

**

summer's really here, and we've been taking advantage of the warm weather before it gets really scorching hot.

for a change we went for friday breakfast in a pakistan restaurant called bbq delight.

some more weekend visits to the beach

and a delightful dinner with my friend r at the boardwalk in dubai creek golf & yacht club!

the alfresco setting was wonderful!

and syempre, mr t still had time to cook for us, like this delish fish dinner!

ah, summer in the desert...it's not at all good times, y'know?
