baby's godmother, l, lives in garmisch so that's why we always have a reason to visit.
this is the view from l's apartment.
after some cheese (and wine? beer? tea?) i can't remember, we went to a snow-covered field. i can't barely contain my excitement as there was a promise of a snowman! baby would be delighted (or so i thought)!
looking at this photo sends me shivers!
we had a blast throwing snowballs.we tried making a snowman, but baby was just not into it. she was surprised by how cold it was, and she only enjoyed the snowy weather for some time.

we left when it was almost dark, and we basked under the glow of garmisch's lights.
it was so lovely.
we got home just in time for new year's eve cheese fondue dinner.
welcoming the new year with your loved ones is indeed priceless.
we welcomed 2012 with open arms, grateful and happy...
next...last-minute visits!
