the dubai film festival just ended, with tom cruise and his film topbilling it. we did not get a chance to watch any of the films though.anyway, we were able to watch one of the most spectacular fireworks display we've ever seen. it was during the opening of the festival, and we were lucky enough to watch the amazing display from our room.and it's not even new year...

our neighborhood has its own tim hortons now.not that i know anything about it as it's a canadian brand. i just heard some canadian colleagues raving about it. so we tried their coffee and they were really good. i'm not a huge coffee fan, but i would not mind visiting it every now and then.

we met up with mr t's colleagues ever the best-tastin' steak ever at the grand grill steakhouse in habtoor grand. his colleagues were really f-u-n-n-e-h-h.
