as usual, i digress.
so it's just baby and me left in sunny dubai.i asked mr t, "how can you leave this behind?" while pointing at the magnificent beach looming infront of us.he smirked, and said, "because i will see everything in white."
and then i remembered the first time i saw snow.real snow.it was almost three years ago.mr t and i were driving somewhere in a border between germany and austria.(i should really write more about that particular trip.)
the temperature was:
i already caught glimpses of melting snow by the road, but i was not that excited.and then i saw this and i shrieked.
i was a snow virgin, after all, having lived all my life in the tropical country that is the philippines.
look who tagged along!
we then went to a nearby ski resort and i just...marvelled.
trust me, ask any self-respecting filipina out there, and one of their dreams in life is to see real snow.believe me.and yes, it's partly due to our colonial mentality.
i will never forget that experience.it's something that i will treasure forever and i can't actually wait for baby to gaze and marvel and shriek at her first sight of snow.joy.
mr t, hope you will enjoy your skiing (after a year of not doing it! gasp!)and snowboarding, perhaps? i know how much you love it and how much you miss it (like i miss seeing palm trees on beaches), and let me brag also that you are quite good at it (although i've only seen photos haha)
missing you, from sunny and perfect-weather dubai.*i'm just rubbing it in a little* hehe. be safe. xoxo
