here's a catch-up from last month and last week:
baby went to a halloween party at kidville! she dressed up as a bee.how cute is that? she also went to a birthday party at the palm.whew, our daughter has a more active social life than her parents! hee.
and lest i forget, she managed to say a full sentence: "daddy, come here." at less than 2 years, she has added so many words to her vocabulary that i can barely catch up with documenting her new words.so far, i can remember "light," "airplane," "train," "party".
she also mistook santa claus for obelix! hahahaha.
and she loves rice and adobo.how pinoy! i lavet!
and...i also went to seoul (yes, in korea!) to meet up with my friends.i'll blog about that soon.let me just catch my breath...

mr t and i went to a sushi place in masdar city in abu dhabi. masdar is the forerunner in the uae in renewable and sustainable energy.i love the feel of the place.in order to get to the restaurant blocks, we had to use this personal rapid transport.

we watched a lot of movies as well! i'm so loving "crazy,stupid love." pati "friends with benefits!"
i watched woody allen's "midnight in paris" and i fell in love with paris all over again.
someday i will blog about paris 2007 and paris 2009.promise.

and because we were missing oktoberfest in munich, we decided to head over to grand hyatt where they were almost able to replicate the real thing.but nothing beats the original. i can hear mr t scoofing.hee.
we dressed up baby in her dirndl.too bad we did not have our dirndl and lederhosen here in dubai as we could have worn them too.half of the guests at grand hyatt were in their bavarian finery.
you could easily tell the oktoberfest tent is not in munich because of the palm trees! lol.
there were authentic bavarian food and musicians! and most importantly, the beer came all the way from munich.so mr t was quite happy, as you may imagine.
it was a delight!

our li'l beach is once again coming to life.the weather in dubai is perfect now.we have about 7 months of just heat and humidity, but the remaining 5 months are just ...pure bliss.
just the other day, there were red bull kite pilots showing off their skills.

we went to dubai mall for a late breakfast.

there was also a salvador deli exhibit inside the mall
we were able to catch the movie "contagion," and after watching that, i think i will have second thoughts in holding bus rails! ugh.

we met up with friends at safa park to celebrate eid.the last time i was in safa park was 5 years ago.i was pleasantly surprised that it maintained its greenery and family-friendliness.we have parks pala like this in dubai.so glad we got invited to this picnic!
mr t is currently onboard a plane now on the way to munich for a well-deserved one-week break! baby and i will do some mommy-bonding time while he's away.hope you will have fun, mr t! baby and i will hopefully enjoy the lovely weather that dubai is blessing us with!
