weekend roundup

my office gave us free passes (thank you!) to the ferrari world theme park, days before its official opening on 27 october.

mr t and i went there last thursday night.it's located at yas island in abu dhabi and it's the largest indoor theme park in the world and the first ever ferrari theme park.now, i'm not a fan of cars so i was basically clueless when we went there.it was all so, uh, red.duh, ferrari color kaya.

it looks like this from the outside:

so all the attractions were not yet open due to it being like a trial run for staff.we managed to try Speed Magic, a 4D ride, after falling in line for almost an hour and a half!

all aboard!

i'm a 3d/4d sucker so i really enjoyed the ride! i think i was the only one screaming.haha.the other riders probably thought i'm clueless.haha.the ride showed various sceneries, from scenic roads to ski resorts to underwater and desert dunes pa.of course, the last scene was an f1 race track.fun!

we did not have enough time to see the other attractions, but i'm sure we would return!i'm also sure this would be a hit to fans and families alike.they even have mini-ferrari cars which kids can drive.kyot.

friday was a relaxing day as we had our usual breakfast brunch and afternoon siesta for me.

and oh, baby can clap her hands now and wave to anybody who says "hi!" "hello!" "bye!".if you also stand near a door, she will also wave at you.hahaha.we went to a nearby children's play area, but baby's still too young to try all the rides there.soon!

**

no, this was not from a french cafe.this was lovingly made by my husband for our saturday brunch:

my office colleague c dropped by for a visit, together with her husband and friend from san francisco.they brought a heart pendant for baby (thank you!), and baby, thank god, behaved well.we had cakes from paul.

mr t and i then went out for a walk and had dinner at kosebasi,a turkish restaurant in the neighborhood.we had grilled and barbecued eggplants and turkish pizza.it was my first time to try turkish food, and it was nice and light.

a nice, relaxing weekend...just enough to energize us for the work week ahead of us!
